:: what are community groups? ::
community groups are smaller groups of our church Body who live life together. these small groups meet on monday and tuesday nights to study the Bible, pray with one another, hang out, and sometimes eat... basically, they just live life together. (for more information about times and locations of community groups, check out our community groups page.)
:: why does the ring have small groups? ::
we believe that God uses our relationships with each other to grow and form us in ways we cannot see or understand. we strive to make our groups places where each person can grow in their faith, receive encouragement and hope, and know that they are loved and cared for. by meeting together each week, we are able to invest in each other as God continues to form us into a community of faith, hope, and love.
small groups are integral to who we are as a church and have played a major part in our history and growth as a community. (to find out more about our history and how small groups have played into it, check out our about us page.)

:: when and where do community groups meet? ::
community groups meet on monday and tuesday nights at various times. to find a group that meets in the best location, day, and time for you, check out our community groups page for a full listing of community groups.
:: can i bring my children to my community group? ::
yes. God's design is for the parent to be the primary source of all spiritual guidance for a child. we as a church are here to help equip parents to disciple their children and to reinforce what is being taught and modeled at home.
this is why we involve our kids and youth in all areas of church life, including our community groups. we desire for our kids and teenagers to learn from their parents and our church body what it means to truly follow Jesus, and our hope is that being involved in a community group will help shape that in them as they grow.
in some situations, particularly infant and toddlers, it is better for them and the parents to have childcare provided. we do our best to help meet this need by rotating volunteers to care for the kids during the group time. if you would like to set this up, email or the leader of the group you attend.
:: is there a community group just for my children/youth? ::
yes. we have a community group just for kids and another group just for our youth.
the kids community group is just for our elementary-aged kids, and it meets on the 2nd and 4th sundays of every month from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at the lsu bcm building. (for more information about the kids community group, check out the kids ministry page.)
