missions
God calls His church to love people and represent Him everywhere we go. this command includes where we live, work, shop, and hang out. so in a sense, true followers of Christ are always in the "mission field."
God also gives us opportunities to go into places that are not as "everyday." this could be all the way across the world or simply just across town. it is an amazing privilege to be a part of what God is doing on the earth, and we do all we can to take advantage of every opportunity He sends our way.
:: baton rouge ::
the city of baton rouge is the primary place God has called us to minister to, and we are always looking for ways to show the people of this city how important they are to Him. our community groups are the main way we reach out to our city, but there are church-wide events scheduled as well. currently there is a group who serves at local shelters on a regular basis. check out the calendar to see what's coming up
:: monclova ::
several times each year we send teams from the ring to monclova, mexico. over the last few years God has given us a special connection with the people of that city, and our friendships have spread into nearby communities as well. partnering with them in ministry is one of the great joys of our church, and we look forward to many years of serving the world together.

:: missionaries ::
while we are all called to minister in our everyday lives, some are called to go and stay a while. during the summer we have a station set up in the back to help you better know how to pray for and support our summer missionaries. on a regular basis our missions ministry team will give updates on needs and testimonies of our long term missionaries.
:: how you can help our missionaries ::
josh always uses the analogy of a bow and arrow to explain the church's role in sending out missionaries. in his analogy the church is the bow, and our missionaries are the arrows.
just as the arrow cannot fly without the help of the bow pushing it forward through the air so is it with our missionaries. they need the aid and support of their church family to help send them to the places where God has called them to minister. sometimes, that aid and support is financial or logistical, and other times it's emotional and spiritual through encouragement and prayers. this support happens not only in the sending off of our missionaries but also during the entire time they are gone and when they come back.
if you feel called to support one or more of our missionaries, email megan at , and she'll give your more info about how you can aid, support, encourage, and/or pray for our missionaries.
