student ministries
the vision for our student ministry is the same as it is for our church... "for God to be glorified through a more intimate relationship with Him." everything we do with our youth has this end in mind.
as with everything we do, our approach is simple and intentional. life in Christ is the most exciting thing on the planet, and we want our students to soak up every drop.
God's design is for the parent to be the primary source of all spiritual guidance for a child, and we as a church are here to help equip parents to disciple their children and to reinforce what is being taught and modeled at home.
this is why we involve our youth in all areas of church life, including our community groups. we desire for our teenagers to learn from their parents and our church body what it means to truly follow Jesus, and our hope is that being involved in a community group will help shape that in them as they grow.
:: what do we offer just for our students? ::
we have something just for our junior high and high school students on the 2nd and 4th sundays of the month, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
it is a community group designed just for them, and it is led by our student ministry team.
in their time together they discuss the Bible, how it applies to them, and how they can encourage each other in their daily lives. it is much like the community groups we offer for the entire church, but this one allows them to have that crucial peer interaction we all need.
in addition to community group, we have other activities including youth camp, a packed summer schedule, and other special events just for our students throughout the year. check out the calendar to see what's happening next...
:: info for parents ::
all of our volunteers feel called by God to work with our student ministry, and we do our best to give them the training and resources to do so effectively.
in the community group, we are currently using the student life Bible study curriculum. we have found this resource to be excellent in every way and have also found their teachings to line up with what we believe and teach as a church.
as a matter of safety, we run background checks on all of our student ministry volunteers through trak-1 technologies (www.trak-1.com). we never allow any of our volunteers to be alone with any of our students, and at least two volunteers are present at all times.
if you have any questions about our student ministry, feel free to call our offices or email us anytime at staff@ringcommunity.org.
